The 2020 GEM Report assesses progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on education and its targets, as well as other related education targets in the SDG agenda. Exploring the full meaning of “inclusive education” and the international community’s commitment to ensure realization of "inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all", the report focuses on progress towards this goal, drawing attention to all those excluded from education, because of background or ability.
